In this course you learn how to search and navigate within Splunk, create reports and alerts, and manage knowledge objects.

Asynchronous

This 10-day course is designed to prepare individuals to become certified as Splunk Core Users. The module will cover all the topics required to pass the certification exam and use Splunk effectively. Alumni learners will learn how to search and navigate within Splunk, create reports and alerts, and manage knowledge objects.

Upon successful completion of all module requirements, learners will :

  • Navigate and search within Splunk
  • Create alerts and reports using Splunk
  • Use Splunk to identify trends, problems, and opportunities
  • Use Splunk to monitor and troubleshoot a network environment
  • Manage knowledge objects in Splunk
  • Recall and explain key concepts of the Splunk platform.
  • Memorize commonly used SPL commands and their syntax.
  • Remember data ingestion methods and data source types supported by
    Splunk.
  • Explain the architecture and components of Splunk Enterprise.
    Technical Skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Splunk data models and knowledge objects.
  • Interpret search results and understand different types of visualizations in Splunk.
  • Utilize SPL commands to search, filter, and manipulate data in Splunk.
  • Apply field extractions, event types, and tags to enhance data analysis.
